Since I replace my own I save shop service costs and get "intimate" with my cars as well as know the conditions of my served components. I changed the Prius engine air and cabin filters at 14,000+ miles. Neither needed it but with the great Amazon prices and the ease of replacements I couldn't resist. I'll probably change them early again but it's a joy caring for my baby. The engine filter appeared identical to the original and I replaced the cabin with a carbon/baking soda model that was definitely a step up while price was less than OEM. Prius owners note that both filters took less than 10 minutes combined and required no tools!
