(More customer reviews)It was time once again for new filters, this time around I wanted to try an upgrade on my 2000 M5.Short of cold air intakes I wanted to get a jump in power with out the major dent in my pocket - the small fortune I spend on gas and oil are bad enough.
Anyway, I researched this product on line and was surprised at the mixed messages I saw from different reviewers.Thing is, I had already purchased due to the reputation of K&N so their was no turning back.I received them in a few days and quickly had them installed along with a minor service: oil change and new plugs.
The performance boost and new growl around 3.5 to 4K RPM's is well worth it!!!I should have done this back in 97 when I bought my fist e39 528i.If you have a e39 this is a must have upgrade: its cheap and easy DIY project that will provide ROI.Not to mention the life time warranty and you can reuse them...so its green as well.About as green as you can get pushing a race tuned V8 ;-)
